This is an art print of an original painting which was painted as a tribute to David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, with his favorite guitar he named “The Black Strat”, a 1969 Fender Stratocaster Electric Guitar. Gilmour bought this Strat in 1970 from Manny’s Music in New York City to replace a similar guitar his parents bought him for his 21st birthday, which had been lost while touring with Pink Floyd in the United States in 1968. The Black Strat was originally a sunburst, and I made sure to show the wear and tear that allowed the original finish to peek out a bit, just like his original. Gilmour created such amazing music with this instrument, I felt it needed to be honored in paint, and I wanted it to be in such a way that anyone would be proud to show it off in their music room, mancave, den, livingroom, bar, or anywhere else you can think of.
My prints are fantastic conversation makers and make a great gift for family and friends. They look great on their own or stunning in a group. I offer plenty of size options to fit your needs.
