Description
This is an art print of an original painting which was painted as a tribute to BB King, the “King of the Blues” with his “Lucille” Gibson Guitars, from the Original L-30 to the current Lucille version of a Gibson ES-355, modified to his specs. The original Lucille was an inexpensive Gibson L-30 archtop. The story behind the guitar’s name involved two men fighting over a woman that ended in a terrible fire, which King ran into to save his precious instrument. King named his guitar Lucille (the name of the woman the fight was about) to remind him to never fight over a woman and never again run into a burning building. He literally made music history with his various models of guitars over the years (all of them named Lucille). So, I chose the very first Lucille and the very last Lucille to represent the lengthy career he had. He created such amazing impact on the world of Blues music, I felt it needed to be honored in paint, and I wanted it to be in such a way that anyone would be proud to show it off in their music room, mancave, den, livingroom, bar, or anywhere else you can think of.
My prints are fantastic conversation makers and make a great gift for family and friends. They look great on their own or stunning in a group. I offer plenty of size options to fit your needs.
